SMITH HOUSE CONTEXTUAL FIT

THE SMITH HOUSE IS IN DARIEN, Connecticut. It is located on a wooded hillside sloping toward the water. The house is inserted into the natural landscape but is designed as an artificial object.

GOAL:

The plan behind this assignment was to take a pre-existing design, and add on to it. BY DOING THIS WE HAVE TO ACCOUNT ON A CONCEPT RELATING TO THE ORIGAL DESIGN AND NOT CHANGING THE OVERALL OUTLOOK OR APPREANCE AS A FINAL WHOLE.
