Analogy Of Movement

The first movement I used was the lift.  This picture is a good example because the car lift is the way I wanted to make my lift.  The only thing different about it is to add pulleys into my system. The pulleys pull and retract the cables which move the moveable section.

The Slide movement is another way I thought it would be good to move the bridge section.  One end of the slide is connected to the moveable section of the bridge and the other is connected to the stationary section of the bridge.  Which retracts the bridge section back and forth?

The Draw movement is one of the oldest ways to open up a bridge section.  It works by a pulley or some kind of counter weight that retracts the a cable or chain on one side which lifts one end of the bridge section causing an opening.
