Arch Bridge-  Arch bridges have thick bases and a smaller center. They work by transferring the weight of the load to the ends of the arch that are thicker and stronger.

 

 

 

 

 

Cantilever Bridge-  Are used by having horizontal beams that are only supported on one end.  They are similar to a beam bridge but the difference is the force that comes through the bridge.

 

 

 

 

Truss Bridge-  Truss bridges are one of the oldest types of modern bridges. They use connecting elements that help hold up the load that needs to be supported.
