Final Bridge Design

In this project form and function go hand and hand. When the function of the bridge changes it also changes the form. The function of this bridge was to allow a pedestrian to cross a 190 foot span while also permitting a 30x40 object to pass through. While starting off with an arch bridge the form was very standard. But once my draw bridge was inserted with a 3 pulley system, the form began to drastically change.
