Contextual
Analysis
This process is the first and most
important step in the design process. This process includes looking at the
structural, circulatory, functional, and ascetical systems which govern the project.
Without looking at these factors one cannot possible understand to context to
which the designer had used.
Circulatory
The
circulation is a simple path consisting of a linear configuration with each
respective point
ending
with stairs.
Structure
The
structure of the house consists of two load bearing walls near the living
spaces, and columns near the recreational spaces.
Function
The
functional areas can be simplified into private areas near the front and public
spaces near the rear. The private spaces a shaded in white.
Additive
and Subtractive Process
The
original house has many instances of adding and subtracting. Blue represents
subtracting, while red represents adding.
