Architectural Project I

Objective

The objective of this project is to develop a moveable bridge using the functions found within everyday household items. These items contain moveable parts which would thus be incorporated in the design of a moveable bridge. There were few constraints that had to be followed when designing and building this bridge. These constraints included:

The bridge must span 190’; must have an opening to allow a 30’x40’ object to pass through the bridge; cannot exceed 100’ in height; must not have any piles touch the water; all structural members cannot exceed 20’ in length
