Project 1

The idea of this project is to use the concepts of form and function in order to create a pedestrian bridge that has a span of 190 feet. This bridge will include a 30 by 40 feet opening. I found inspiration in three common items that all have a different movement and combined them with three different prototypes of bridges. I created a 3x3 table and chose the best possible solution to use in the transformation. I chose to have the opening of the bridge on the right side. I incorporated cables and gears in order to transform the bridge and lift the roadway.
