Farmingdale State College is putting in a new non-denominational Chapel for the Students and Faculty.

Requirements

Chapel (Sacred Spaces - light oriented)

Main Sanctuary; 50 people

Memorial Chapel (small - looking back on loss and regret)

Meditation Chapel (small - looking forward on life's choices)

Lobby

Offices / Utility (Secular - built context oriented)

Secretary Office

I wanted to put the chapel in a relatively open spot, as to not crowd the existing spaces. I opted to place the building next to Sinclair and across from Cutler. I also wanted to place it close to the dormitories, as religion is a daily part of some people’s lifes.
