Analysis

Circulation

The circulation throughout the building orientated through a vertical path when entering and exiting the building and use a horizontal path when moving throughout the building

Additive/Subtractive

Green = Added

Red = Subracted

Enclosure

Green = Open

Red = Closed

The house keeps the shore facing half open while closed spaces are put on the inland side.

Public/Private

Green = Public

Red = Private

The public/private areas mostly follow the same pattern as the building’s enclosure where the private spaces lye on the land side where the public areas can be found on the shore side and the entrance of the house.

Structure

Hierarchy

The living area can be considered the most important area on the main house structure due to its large size in both floor plan and mass area that stretches up 3 stories.

*Context diagrams were given to students and done by someone else prior to the project
**Analysis was done in collaboration with two other students in groups
