Research
The building I researched before
taking on this project was Le Cobusiers Palace of Assembly.
The analysis of light mainly took
place in the hyperbolic assembly place.
Corbusier used three main openings at
the top of the hyperboloid in order to add natural light into this massive
meeting space. Some research says that the use of the yellow walls and yellow
flooring was used to make the room brighter because of the insufficient amount
of natural light which was allowed into this chamber.
The hierarchy is clearly defined when
we look at the cross sectional views.
Corbusier used odd shapes and curves
in order to capture the light the way he wanted.
