Project Statement

The main purpose of this project was to design a bridge with a 190ft span that has a function opening a part of the bridge. The function which is designed is to be linked together with the bridge. By this function being added to the bridges existing structure a transformation will be caused due to making the function work. As more and more additions are necessary in order for this function to work the bridge starts to take a unique form. The existing prototype which was originally used is there but has undergone much change, the overall transformation to the existing structure is vital for this project to work.
