Light Machines
By designing these light machines I was
really able to understand the way light reflects and bounces off walls. It is
clear from these light machines that curved walls are a good way to capture
light. These machines are not meant to work perfectly and be successful in
every aspect, they are meant to understand what works and does not work when
incorporating natural light into an enclosed space.
Light Machine 1:
My first light machine incorporated an
arch.
Light Machine 2:
With this light machine I really wanted
to focus the light at a certain point and capture the light.
Light Machine 3:
This light machine incorporate a curved
wall dropping from the ceiling in order to catch the light coming through.
