Narrative

The smith family has a request to make an extension on their existing home. The house is getting too small for the two boys which are starting to grow up. The smith family are soccer fanatics and love watching soccer as a family together. It is very important to the smith family to have a good family room for them to watch the games in. The family also has a tendency to crave playing soccer while they are watching. Do to this desire of playing the family room should be designed on ground level in order for the family to have easy access to go outside and play. The boys and the father love playing soccer but the mothers favorite thing is having a great overlook of the long island sound which is originally why they bought the house. She would like a nice decking area that can easily see the entire sound where she can enjoy her morning coffee.

The Smith family loves soccer so I will make use of a soccer ball by designing the family room in the shape of the pentagon on a classic soccer ball. The black pentagon on a soccer ball seems to keep all the white parts of the ball together, so will the family room.
