Construction Analysis

This step of the process is one of the most important steps to the design process. This process includes looking at the 8 different view of the house. They are Enclosure, Circulation, Structure, Use, Public/Private, Geometry, and finally Hierarchy. Without this step of looking at the foundation of what the original concepts were you would not be able to understand the designer views.

 

Enclosure

The enclosure of the house is the back of the house that faces the water is open and the front of the house is closed off.

 

Circulation

The circulation of the house enters from the front goes through the privet zones enters the public zone and they both sides of the circulation end at stairs.

 

Structure

The Structure of the house is two load bearing walls and 4 columns

 

Use

The basic diagram of the use is the back of the house is for entertainment and the front of the house is for sleeping and cooking

 

Public/Private

The back of the house is the public zone and the front of the house is the private zone.

 

Geometry

The geometry of the house is a golden section.

 

Hierarchy

The hierarchy of the original design was the living room in the back of the house.

 

Additive and Subtractive

As you can see by the picture the subtractive is green and the additive is red.
