Objective/Narrative/Ranking/Sort

Objective: The purpose of the project is to create an addition on the smith house while using Robert Meier existing techniques. These techniques included hierarchy, additive/subtractive, circulation, open/closed, private/private and structure.

Narrative: There were once two brothers who loved the ocean and loved to surf. Once when they were out surfing, one of the brothers was attacked by a shark and killed. After his death his brother wanted to honor his life so he started to hunt sharks using himself as bait on his surfboard. He now wants to build a new part of the house that’s looks out into the water so he can always remember how his brother died. He wants a great room that will have a memorial of his brother’s life as the main part of the building and a gym so he can keep his body in top performance for when he is hunting sharks.
