Project 3 : Light

Objective:

The task of this project was to be able to design a chapel/sanctuary on the campus of Farmingdale State College. This sanctuary can be used to practice any faith. The main skill being worked on in this project was to naturally manipulate light inside the building without the typical use of windows. This is done mostly through the uses of curved surfaces, and we were also tasked in researching famous chapels and sanctuaries to see what the best way to deal with light naturally was back in the times where artificial lighting was not possible.

We were tasked to create light machines that showed off the intensity of how curved surfaces can manipulate light.
