For the non-denominational chapel to be built on the Farmingdale State College campus, I got my inspiration from the dove. The dove is a universal symbol for peace; however it is not specific or offensive to any particular religion. I used the profile of a dove in flight to design the building with meditation garden and outdoor chapel.
