Project 2: Contextual Fit

Narration

The owner loves nature and bright open spaces. He wants the scenery behind the smith house to be a part of almost all the actives it the house. However privacy in the master bedroom is very important to him. For this reason he would like it if the room was separated from most other rooms

Idea

I want to use Richard Meier’s idea of starting with a solid rectangle a cutting out pieces to make the main form but I will use a cylinder to connect the building together.

Connection

I will connect the addition to the original by continuing the circulation straight through the addition. This way when moving through the house the occupants will always be moving parallel to the shore.
