Preliminary design

Once the research was done, the planning could begin.

First I started off with a strong datum that would separate private and public. This would be the beginnings of the wave.

Then I continued adding rooms to this datum. But all were along this arched datum

The connections from the existing house were weak. So I needed to make some changes to the design.

Using the datum to build a connecting walk way from rooftop to roof top strengthened it. Also there were horizontal and vertical beams shooting though the existing building into the new.

Even though there were 2 connections were made an additional room was added to make the wave go though the house.

The squared edges from the end point of the wave needed to be curved out because the true look of the wave was unclear. Leading to the final design of this project.
