Final Design

For my final design I decided to go with the cable-stayed bridge. I incorporated gears and a screw enabled system that moves a section of the bridge up above the water allowing the passage of vessels. This movement is accomplished thru propulsion from water current under the bridge. I decided to go with the cable-stayed system because it allowed for me to hold up one side of the bridge with relative ease while giving me freedom to design the other side of the bridge to move up and down.
