Structure:
I used the structure from the existing
building to help show the connection between it and the addition by breaking
through the addition with the extension of the serious of columns and a wall.
The circular hallway is two levels
allowing circulation to flow through the addition then bringing you back around
into the existing building with the staircase and entrance and the end.
Balcony:
Since the balcony of this addition was
the hierarchical element it breaks the rule of square spaces by being round. It
also shows its importance by forcing the adjacent elements to bend around it.
