Preliminary designs

I used light to help form my building because I set up my building on the site plan so that the back of the building was always getting hit by the sun at all times of the day. My project is in a L shape so that it forms to the other buildings around the campus but the shape also gives the building a view of the sun at all times so the sun will help light up every room in the cathedral. The building also uses a lot of simple ordering concepts such as hierarchy, circulation, and a datum. The circulation path acts as the datum connecting all pieces of the building together in a simple L shape pattern. The hierarchy is the one circle, dome shape room which is also higher standing then all of the other rooms in the building.
