Enclosure or Open

In the Smith House, there seems to be a trend with rooms that are enclosed or open.  The spaces facing the water seem to be more open by the use of giant glass pane windows.  The rooms in the back of the house are the more private, enclosed spaces.

Open: Living Room, Outdoor Patio, and the spaces above these rooms.  These spaces go up through all of the levels in the house making them very open.

Enclosed: Kitchen, Dining Room, Master Bedroom, Master Bathroom, Bedrooms 1, 2, and 3, and the Bathroom.
