Preliminary design

Light influences the entire design process of this building.� Due to the light, my building was oriented in a particular way.� As the sun goes throughout the day, the rays light up different parts of my chapel.� This also had an impact on my site selection.� I chose my location because it was not interfering with any of the major parts of the campus but it is still integrated into the flow of campus.� Inside the chapel, I have a radial circulation spine which radiates out of the middle.� The sun was my inspiration for this circulation pattern.� The center represents the sun and the rays coming off the sun show the different paths you can take to get to each part of the building.
