EXISTING CONTEXT: ANALYSIS
The objective of this project is to make an addition to an existing house
by architect Richard Meier �Smith House�1965. The addition should
Incorporate an innovative design while respecting and maintaining the
original.
Narrative:
The client for this addition
project has a growing family. They would like to divide the lower level of the
existing house so that their oldest son can
Move to the lower level
(apartment). He also wants a Gym, some outdoor space (balconies, decks), and he
would like to incorporate a modern
�Master bedroom with a master bathroom that has
an outdoor feeling but still is maintained private. Last but most important,
they would like a
bigger social area.
