HOW DOES LIGH INFLUENCED THE FORM OF THE BUILDING?

Light is directed along the East and West axis. Therefore, the alignment of the main temple and the side chapels have to

be parallel to this axis so that light can be considered. The form of the buildings is determined by the angle in whch the light

will encounter a surface and allow for light to come in. This created slanted roof lines in my project, where the part of the

building that is closer to the center of the structure gets the highest elevation.

CONTEXTUAL ORIENTATION:

For this project, the alignment of the building had to accommodate the ortagonally located prototype for existing buildings

And the natural environment alignment which goes alond the North/ South and East/West axis. This project is deals with

Both of this alignments and that was given by hierarchy. The offices and other rooms that are not priority are aligned with the

College’s prototype to help define exterior spaces. The temple and chapels are aligned with the environment so that

Light can be used and help define the forms of this buildings.
