Narrative

My name is Ojekanmi Akinlolu, I am from the newly formed African federation. There is a new invention about space travel which is calling for a new type of people coming into town with their business and science ideas about the space travelling business. In this respect, the head of the space science firm from district H15 is moving to town with his family and want a house built for him from a 1960’s smith house. This house must feature both old original house and an additional design added to the existing building. The addition must agree with this terrain that has a water front view and a rock patches with trees to both right and left of the plot. The topography slopes down the sea and this must be reflected on the style of the building. The structure must form a complete unity and must show a depiction of both space and time. The building must also show how important it is for him to entertain his gust, and also have a nice family time also work on his projects. He wants the house to show spaces that agree with both esthetics and form having the contextual fit of his business and family is his top priority. The Smith Family has commissioned you to design an addition to their house on the shore of Long Island Sound. The original house, designed in 1965 by architect Richard Meier, has been widely published and is internationally known. Unfortunately, the Owners needs have change since the original design, thereby warranting this architectural intervention. The Owner specifically request that the integrity of the original design be respected, yet the new addition should have its own presence

Hierarchy: The family room will be the most important space out of the four new spaces to be designed. The visitor’s living room will have a cylinder shape to distinguish it from the rest of the spaces. This room will be two stories tall overlooking the outdoor deck.
