Narrative
We have decided to build a non-denominational chapel
located to campus of SUNY Farmingdale. The college officials want this to be a
profoundly spiritual place that people of all faith can pray and reflect on life’s
events. The college officials believed that it will be a good achievement if
the chapel can bring light to people’s lives by creatively capturing light.
This chapel will entail the main sanctuary of about 50 people, a memorial side
chapel, and a meditation side chapel, Offices, storage and even an outdoor
chapel. A site has yet to be selected, and the building should be integrated
into the fabric of the campus. This building explicitly requests the design not
to be symmetrical in any nature
